Mikron Switzerland AG, Boudry launches BoudryNext, its new expansion project

Mikron Boudry is continuing its expansion with a major new project. Less than three years after inaugurating the extension to its current site, the company is now unveiling BoudryNext -  an ambitious project to enlarge the production area by an additional 6,200 m², bringing the total size of the new site to 22,000 m². 

A necessary expansion
Over the past  5 years, Mikron Switzerland AG, Boudry has increased its business volume by more than 50%. The added value of Mikron Boudry products is fully created in Boudry, where 600 employees ─ 50% of whom are engineers and 30% CFC highly qualified technicians ─ are responsible for design, development, and production. With the extension of its Boudry site, the company plans to hire around 100 new employees.

Official ground-breaking ceremony
On Thursday, September 12, 2024, the official ground-breaking ceremony marked a symbolic milestone for the BoudryNext project. Alain Ribaux, State Councillor; Rita Piscopiello, President of the Boudry Local Council; Catherine Zeter, Vice-President of the Boudry Local Council; the cantonal economic authorities, the management of Mikron Switzerland AG, Boudry, and BAT-MANN, the company responsible for constructing the new buildings, were all in attendance.

2000m2 in Yverdon's Y-Park technology park
Pending completion of the works, scheduled for 2026, Mikron Boudry has already acquired an additional 2,000 m² in Yverdon's Y-Park technology park. This site is now fully operational and will accommodate several customer projects during the construction period.
