We're offering an exciting, newly created role as Chief Human Resources Officer in which you will drive global HR initiatives and develop modern, employee-centric HR structures.

The organization

The Mikron Executive Committee consists of the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Mikron Group Management includes the newly-created position of Chief HR Officer as well as the Heads of the three Divisions Automation, Machining and Tool.

The Chief HR Officer reports directly to the CEO. The position holder directly leads an HR project & process manager in Switzerland and develops, aligns and implements global HR initiatives in close collaboration with the divisional and local Mikron HR leaders in a dotted-line relationship.

 

The role

The Chief HR Officer is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and implementing global people initiatives and processes that align with the company's values and business objectives. This position develops and executes global HR strategies, projects and frameworks and aligns the implementation across multiple regions via a dotted-line divisional HR organization. The Chief HR Officer is a direct report of the CEO and works closely with the Executive Committee and Group Management as an advisor and sparring partner.

Strategic HR leadership, process framework and digitalization:

  • Develop and execute global HR strategies in alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  • Directly lead the HR project & process manager, engage and align HR colleagues in dotted-line Mikron HR team.
  • Provide professional HR leadership & guidance to the executive team and regional HR leaders.
  • Design a global HR process landscape in form of Group process guidelines to ensure effective HR processes.
  • Develop and ensure the implementation of the global HR digitalization strategy, taking local requirements in consideration.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with Mikron values

HR data & reports:

  • Develop and track key HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.

Compliance & risk management:

  • Supports local HR to ensure global HR policies and practices comply with labor laws and regulations.

 

Your profile

Experience
Minimum of 8 years of experience in an international HR leadership role based in Switzerland and with global responsibilities, preferably within a matrix organization of an industrial company (balancing the complexity of 3 distinctive business divisions and different cultures). Experience in implementing HR applications is required.
A deep understanding of HR processes and labor laws in Switzerland and other Mikron countries.

Education
Relevant education in HR Management (e.g. Bachelor’s degree or similar)

Languages
English and French fluent are required
German and/ or Italian fluency an asset
Other languages welcome

Special
Position represents Mikron in diverse associations and professional organizations

Working location

Working location: Boudry NE, Switzerland

Home office: up to 20% as per our regulations

Environment: Very modern office, office-based position with regular regional and extra-continental travels (Switzerland approx. 40% (mainly Ticino), international 10%)
