Your main tasks

As a Development Software Engineer II, you’ll be responsible for the design and implementation of Mikron Corporation Denver software systems to interact with custom automation. You will be a key participant in the assembly and debug phases as required to meet the contracted functionality of the customers system within budget and schedule constraints. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in C# development and is agile to SCRUM methodologies. Additional experience in windows presentation foundation (WPF), Blazor, Entity framework, and any industrial programming (Ladder Logic) is preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Realize and test program modules specified in object-oriented language
  • Propose standard IT solutions that can be applied to majority of the customer projects
  • Write the documentation and execute the maintenance of realized program modules
  • Ensure training and technical support of the company’s automation engineers
  • Understand internal users’ and customers’ requests and help them specify their technical needs
  • Realize technical FS & SDS (UML) specifications based upon actual processes
  • Estimate and respect deadlines and costs of the assigned development projects
  • Demonstrate competency in Controls Engineering requirements
  • Responsible for the successful design of control systems to meet project budgets and schedules as set forth by the Project Managers
  • Demonstrate collaboration and the ability to effectively communicate technical requirements with customers, third-party equipment integrators, and parts suppliers
  • Demonstrate proper application of Mikron standard materials and practices
  • Support Validation team to create and test validation package per customer’s specifications

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in software engineering or automation
  • 3 to 5 years proven experience in software environment work experience
  • Deep knowledge of Object-oriented languages like C++ / C# languages
  • Deep knowledge of Visual Studio and Windows environment
  • Good knowledge in WPF and/or Ignition framework: an asset
  • Practical and theoretical database knowledge. SQL Server: an asset
  • Good knowledge of web technologies and concepts. Blazor: an asset
  • Knowledge in Rockwell AB controls system: an asset
  • Knowledge of the Azure DevOps platform: an asset
  • Expertise in network’s architecture, security and IT concepts
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid state driver license
  • Pass interview and technical test
  • Must be able to work off shift hours, holidays and work overtime
  • Must be able to travel domestic and internationally 25%, at times with short notice
